2025 Fall Edition Queer Offering

What does it mean to offer something as a queer person — to a friend, a stranger, yourself?
What do we place on the table when the world forgets we were ever invited?
We are seeking work that explores the idea of queer offering — not as a grand gesture, but in the quiet, everyday acts that say: I’m here. I made this. This is part of me.
Sometimes the offering is a story.
Sometimes it’s a name said out loud for the first time.
Sometimes it’s a slice of cake at a kitchen table where chosen family gathers.
Sometimes it’s a poem folded into someone’s coat pocket.
This is a call for works rooted in the personal, the material, and the meaningful. Show us how queerness offers not just critique, but care. How does it offer presence? How does it offer you?

Send us your cake recipes and your family redefinitions. Your altars, your awkward hugs, your soft declarations. Your honest offerings.
This is a space for queer creators and allies of all backgrounds and identities. All we ask is that your work speaks with intention, with heart, and with an openness to the many ways queerness gives.

We encourage you to send us any form of creative or nonfiction writing through our link.
Any form of fiction, poetry, essay, or prose is welcome. If you choose to send us poetry, it is recommended that you send us three to six poems in a single file.

However, if you simply feel like sharing a couple of sentences on the topic, then you are also more than welcome; we might also be able to include you in our summer edition.
You CAN submit multiple pieces of work, and we ACCEPT simultaneous submissions.
Your words and visuals matter. If your work is selected for publication, we offer $5–$20 per written piece and $10 for each chosen cover artwork. It’s a small thank-you for the beauty you share with the world
The deadline for our Fall Edition is September 5th. Please note that we do not accept any late submissions.
